Community Science
The “Science for the Community” project is dedicated to disseminating scientific knowledge to people of all generations. By designing age-appropriate learning activities, the project enhances the quality of life for the elderly through practical, hands-on workshops and the application of science in daily life. Concurrently, scientific activities are organized during National Children’s Day to inspire and develop essential learning skills in children and youth. Furthermore, the project integrates science into the Loy Krathong Festival to bridge the gap between scientific principles, cultural heritage, and environmental conservation. These initiatives aim to promote lifelong learning and foster sustainable community resilience.
Competitions
Empowering Minds Through Creative Science Shows
The Science Show Competition is dedicated to enhancing participants’ scientific literacy through creative learning and effective science communication. By providing a platform for participants to showcase their talents, the project encourages the presentation of scientific demonstrations that are academically rigorous yet engaging and entertaining—a key combination in fostering a positive attitude toward science.
Creative Media Competition for Awareness Raising Project
The “CLIMATE CHANGE” awareness project was recently held at the Samut Sakhon Science Centre for Education, focusing on driving sustainable environmental behavior. The competition featured three main categories: Short Videos, Board Games, and Local Innovations. The initiative provided a platform for participants to showcase innovative solutions to environmental challenges through diverse creative media. Beyond increasing knowledge and awareness of climate change, the project successfully fostered essential skills such as creative thinking, effective communication, and teamwork. Most importantly, it empowered participants to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical, everyday environmental actions. Overall, the project successfully achieved all its predefined objectives.

By integrating science and environmental awareness, these projects provide concrete solutions to real-world energy issues, fostering a more sustainable society for everyone.
National Science Week
Every August, the Samut Sakhon Science Centre for Education proudly hosts National Science Week. This annual celebration pays tribute to the Father of Thai Science, King Rama IV, while bringing the wonders of science to life for students and the local community through engaging and educational activities.

The Samut Sakhon Science Centre for Education Network Project operates under the Department of Learning Encouragement (DOLE). It plays a pivotal role as a lifelong learning hub, specializing in science, technology, and the environment. The centre is dedicated to providing educational services to youths and the general public in Samut Sakhon Province and its neighboring areas.
